Astronomy Stargazing for School and Scout Groups

Gingin Observatory offers evening stargazing/astronomy and daytime solar viewing educational programs. It is right next door to the Gravity Discovery Centre and together, both centres offer interesting, entertaining and inspiring science activities for educational excursions. Suitable for school years K-12 and Scouts and Cubs of all ages.

Evening Stargazing/Astronomy Programs (1.5 hrs) or  (2 hrs)  tailored to suit Stargazing through telescopes. See stars, planets, galaxies and more. Laser beam sky tour of stars and constellations. Interactive and hands on. Entertaining theatre presentation on the Universe. Latest NASA missions. Educational games.Children looking at the stars

Daytime Solar Viewing Program 1 hour ( aged for 16years and over only )-at this time you will have the opportunity to learn all about the Sol our SUN in a short presentation where you will get the latest information,. then afterwards you get to view the sun which is projected onto a big screen from a telescope outside and to view our nearest neighbour the Sun.solar latest 100

 

Daytime Solar Presentation: 1 hour ( for children under 16 years of age) - ( this could be a dangerous activity for those who are under 16 years of age) at this time you will be seeing our nearest planet the Sun , with an Entertaining theatre presentation on the Latest infomation about out Sun.

Why not visit the Gravity Discovery Centre which is right next door also and have a meal at the  Cafe open daytime only.. "Booking Essential"
