Stargazing and astronomy are fun at Gingin Observatory, only an hour north of Perth. It’s a special place where you can delight in the wonders of space, stargaze through telescopes to see planets, stars and more, chat with astronomers and see a laser beam tour of the constellations during an entertaining night!

You can make your trip to Gingin even more entertaining with a visit to the Gravity Discovery Centre, right next door to Gingin Observatory. This interactive science centre is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9.30am to 5pm. Don't forget to climb the Leaning Tower of Gingin too!

There’s been plenty of planning action happening for Gingin Observatory over recent months. A concept design for an extension and improvement to Gingin Observatory has now been developed by Officer Woods Architects and the planning project is entering its public consultation stage.
